Individual Basketball Training
Bakersifeld Area
SIGN-UP TODAY - Individual training is an effective means through which a player can improve. We will work closely with each player, parent, and coach to develop and implement training programs that provide tangible results. Players can work alone or with friends and siblings. Private lessons are instructed by Chris Childs and James Childs.
The elements of focus during these sessions are ball handling, shooting, defensive and offensive footwork, passing, and rebounding techniques.

Childs Play All Sport was created from passion, love and desire to teach and encourage our next generation the game of basketball, football, volleyball and baseball.
Our mission is to teach every athlete that takes part in our programs the fundamentals of the game, through repetition, discipline and proper technique. The core goal of the coaches is to encourage our campers to strive for excellence in all aspects pertaining to academics, basketball and life.

Childs Play All Sport is a great place for any young athlete who is looking to improve his or her skills, work hard, and have fun!
Childs Play All Sport is a sports program designed for student athletes between the ages 8 thu 17 with a primary goal of developing fundamental skill training.
We welcome all children, regardless of race, creed or national origin.
We appreciate the generous support of the community, local merchants, and civic organizations.
We are sustained by the efforts of volunteers who display an extraordinary amount of commitment and hard work, ensuring that our organization is a positive influence in the lives of our children. We also strive to provide a service to our community by providing a healthy outlet for children, opportunities for the community to gather together, and endless hours of entertainment.
We aim to develop skills, sportsmanship and self esteem through our coaches, officials and organizers.
NCAA Clearinghouse Basics
Student athletes must register with the NCAA Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse to be eligible to play NCAA Division I or Division II sports in college. (Athletes playing in NCAA Division III do not have to register.)
The NCAA Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse is the organization that determines whether prospective college athletes are eligible to play sports at NCAA Division I or Division II institutions.
To play sports at an NCAA Division I or Division II institution, the student must:
All athletes should register with the NCAA Initial-Elibility Clearinghouse early in their sophomore year. Students can register online at the NCAA Clearinghouse website.
If this all seems complicated, keep in mind that the rules are for the athletes benefit. The rules protect students from undue pressure from recruiters and ensure a level playing field for all student-athletes. Core Course Rules
Students planning to attend an NCAA Division institution will be required to complete the following core courses.
DIVISION I - 16 Core Courses:
4 years of English.
3 years of mathematics (Algebra I or higher).
2 years of natural/physical science (1 year of lab if offered by high school).
1 year of additional English, mathematics or natural/physical science.
2 years of social science.
4 years of additional courses (from any area above, foreign language or nondoctrinal religion/philosophy).
DIVISION II - 14 Core Courses:
3 years of English.
2 years of mathematics (Algebra I or higher).
2 years of additional English, mathematics or natural/physical science.
3 years of additional courses (from any area above, foreign language or nondoctrinal religion/philosophy).

Our goal is to give kids the opportunity to develop and refine their basketball skills in a positive and disciplined learning environment. Our program is geared towards fundamental development in the following areas: shooting, passing, dribbling, defense, rebounding, teamwork and the pursuit of excellence.
Brian Pickett - Sacramento Area
A native of Bakersfield played basketball at West High School. Brian is the coach for the Sacramento 4th - 5th grade CYBL girls basketball team. Recruiting girls for 11U AAU team.
Corey Childs - Fresno Area
Tutors elementary and middle school students in Math and Science.
Chris Childs - Bakersfield Area
A retired professional NBA player. Chris, a native of Bakersfield played basketball at Foothill High School, Boise State University and 3 NBA teams. Private lessons instructor.
James Childs - Bakersfield Area
Private lessons instructor.
